For example, the dream tapir was channeled by Danzo but was defeated by Sasuke. The psychic turtle, owned by Akai, rarely appears but plays pivotal roles. Toad Kosuke was stabbed by Danzo and couldn't return home. The psychic mirage was taught to the enemy by the Mizukage and eventually sealed.
Lastly, the ten thousand snakes, channeled by Sasuke, was used as a scapegoat. It seems that choosing the right master is crucial and that temperamental psychic beasts may be harder to control.
