Uchiha Itachi is a popular and powerful character in Naruto. He has defeated many super shadow-level ninjas with ease. During the Ninja War, Itachi and his brother Sasuke defeated Yakushi Kabuto. Itachi almost singlehandedly won the battle. Kabuto Yakushi, one of the final villains in the war, met his match in Itachi. Deidara, a genius in the village, admired Itachi but was quickly killed when they first met, which was unfortunate. Despite being Itachi's senior, Hatake Kakashi is much weaker and couldn't do anything when Itachi visited Konoha Village. Orochimaru, a former member of the Akatsuki, quit after failing to ambush Itachi. It's embarrassing for one of the three ninjas to not be able to defeat him. When Itachi encountered a young Sasuke in Konoha Village, he completely overwhelmed him. Sasuke, even as a future top ninja, will never forget the humiliation he experienced that day.
