After spending over a year waiting in a Kansas shelter, Queen, a three-year-old terrier mix, was finally adopted—thanks in part to activist Scott Poore. To raise awareness, Poore moved into Queen’s 10’x7’ shelter room and vowed to stay until she found a home.
Poore, founder of Mission Driven Goods, hoped the viral campaign would help Queen get noticed.
Ironically, her new adopter, Tony Puluso, hadn’t even seen the campaign—he simply connected with Queen. When adoption day arrived, Poore walked her out to cheers and confetti, marking a joyful new beginning.
